Abstract:
Food waste is a pressing global issue that poses significant environmental, economic, and social challenges. It is estimated that one-third of all food produced globally is wasted, resulting in substantial resource depletion and greenhouse gas emissions (FAO, 2021). This paper explores solutions to food waste, focusing on prevention, redistribution, and recycling. By addressing inefficiencies across the food supply chain-from production to consumption—this paper proposes a multifaceted approach to mitigate food waste and promote sustainable practices.
